Rehearsals and Concert Tickets Update

Tonight’s rehearsal will be a joint one with the Guinness Choir and we shall again be under the direction of Mr David Milne. Be sure to arrive early in order to maximize rehearsal time as we reach this critical juncture in our preparations for the concert, which is now a mere week and a half away!

Also, don’t forget that we will be meeting at the Nassau Street Entrance to Trinity at 10.30am on Saturday Morning for our trip to Belfast to rehearse with the Ulster Orchestra, attendance obligatory!

Regarding tickets, we have a small number of student tickets available at the price of €10 and can be purchased at rehearsal tonight. Online ticket sales have now closed for adult tickets, but a small number are available from Ciara Power at 01-8961379.

Cherry Cup Winners!

Congratulations to Eoghan Desmond, Raymond Tedders, Judith Lyons and Margaret Bridge on winning the Cherry Cup last Wednesday. Well done also to Dermot Frost, Charlie Kerrigan, Fionnuala Barrett and Joanna Staunton for winning the ‘highly commended’ prize. It was fantastic to see four quartets compete for the coveted trophy this year and we hope many of our members have been inspired to enter for next year! The committee would like to thank Mr David Brophy, Principal Conductor of the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, for judging the competition.

The winning quartet in full flow

Even though it’s reading week, rehearsal will take place as normal from 7 pm in Regent House. Our Annual General Meeting will take place in a fortnight, during rehearsal on the 16th of March.
