Whet your appetite with a preview of the upcoming Bach concert with Musical Director, David Leigh and a sneak peek behind the scenes at Choral rehearsals.
Join the University of Dublin Choral Society for a special performance of two of Johann Sebastian Bach’s finest choral works, Magnificat and Wachet auf, in the splendour of the University’s Public Theatre.
As a special treat, this performance of the Magnificat in D major will include the four Christmas interpolations from the original E flat major setting, composed in 1723.
Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme, a chorale cantata composed by Bach in 1731, is based on a hymn by Philipp Nicolai.
Conducted by David Leigh with orchestra and guest soloists.
Dates: Wednesday 19th and Thursday 20th November at 8pm
Tickets: €15 / €10 (concession), available at the door or at eventbrite
Special student ticket price of €7 for tickets purchased in advance at our stand in the Arts Building during the week of the 17th November.
