Members

Welcome to the Choral Members’ page.

Below you will find some useful information for new and returning members as well as handy links to keep you up to date with Choral goings-on. Keep an eye on the  rehearsal schedule for details of Choral+ rehearsals and Summer Singing.

Your sectional representatives

We are delighted to have over 200 members in Choral this session but, even for longstanding Choral singers, it’s easy to feel lost in the crowd. We want every member to feel welcome and we love to hear your opinions, so this year we have appointed a member in each section to be a contact point. The sectional representatives are happy to link in with members to give advice (musical and otherwise!), help out with practical issues and bring any ideas or concerns you might have to the committee, including the Musical Director. Meet your Section reps for this year.

Feel free to say hello to your rep in the rehearsal break, in MacTurcaill’s afterwards or email them on the main Choral address (just put their name in the subject line).

Resourcesresources

Rehearsal weeks  fly by every term and there never seems enough time to learn it all.

Choral+

Choral+ is a small chamber choir made up of members of Choral who just can’t get enough singing! Under the baton of committee Librarian, Ross Cullinane, we perform short works, mainly a cappella, ranging from Baroque to modern. In the last two years we have performed at a wide variety of public and private events around college and beyond, including a reception at the Provost’s House, an appearance on TV3, the Trinity Week closing concert in the Long Room Hub and a wedding in the college chapel.

Keep an eye on the Choral+ page for updates about auditions, rehearsals and upcoming Choral+ events.

Committee

Finally, get to know your Committee here.

Choral couldn’t function without enthusiastic and talented members contributing their time and energy to keep things running. If you think you might be interested in getting involved, come and have a chat with any of the current committee about the jobs they do. There is a wide variety of roles and duties, from marketing concerts to managing the money and you might be just the person we need! As well as contributing to one of College’s oldest societies, you could give your CV an extra dimension.

So whether you are a new recruit or an old hand, come and talk to us if you are interested in helping out. There are elections every year at the AGM in Hilary term.
