The 2016 Annual General Meeting will take place this Wednesday 24 February at 7pm in Regent House. The list of nominees for the 2016/17 Committee has been posted on our noticeboard in Front Arch. Rehearsals for our Hilary Term performances of Mendelssohn’s Elijah continue afterwards! In March 2016, Choral will be performing Felix Mendelssohn’s Elijah. The concerts will take place on 23rd and 24th March in the Examination Hall, Trinity College. The upcoming term will also see the 2016 iteration of the Cherry Cup competition for unaccompanied vocal quartets. Stay tuned for more information regarding this event.
Rehearsals will commence on Wednesday 20th January at 6.45pm in Regent House (just above Front Arch). New members are welcome to join the choir on the night. If you have any questions regarding membership, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Echoing the first premiere of this work in Dublin back in 1742, the splendid setting of Trinity’s Examination Hall will help to get you in the festive mood just as December rolls around. Joined by guest soloists under the expert baton of David Leigh, the University of Dublin Choral Society invites you to mark the date in your diaries and join us for what promises to be a wonderful evening of music and festivities.

The Choral Society is proud to announce that in November 2015 the society will perform Handel’s world-famous Messiah in the College’s Public Theatre over two nights.
Do you want to be part of this? Whether you have been a member for years or are considering membership of the Choral Society for the first time, we would be delighted if you decided to join us in this exciting project. All vocal ranges and levels of singing experience are welcome. Yes, if you’ve been suffering from unexplained mood swings, irritability, loss of motivation or just a vague sense of ennui (mainly on Wednesdays), this is what’s been missing from your life. Our dedicated group of Summer Singers will meet weekly to sing a wide variety of chamber music and put on some small concerts, under the baton of Ross Cullinane.

Rehearsals begin on Wed 3rd of June at 7pm in the Eliz Rooms (1st floor, House 6).

Choral+ is a small vocal ensemble consisting of students, staff and graduate members of the University of Dublin Choral Society. Informal in nature, and with a wide repertoire, the group has performed at receptions and events both on and off campus.
Choral+, conducted by our Librarian, Ross Cullinane, will perform ‘A Little Light Music’, a short a cappella concert of pieces on the theme of ‘Light’ in the Fitzgerald Library (Physics), Tuesday 14th April, 5.45pm
This event is open to the public, no booking required.
